I bought the antenna for the Volga, since it was not regularly available on the GAZ-31105 model, 2006. On earlier Volg models (3110 and older), it was, as on later ones (2007-2008), it reappeared and was installed on the rear wing. It is not clear what the management of the plant was guided by when they put such a complete set of the car on sale.
Although the minimum audio preparation was still done, in the form of installed front speakers and wires thrown through the cabin. The rear speakers, like the radio itself, were missing. I repeat, on later models GAZ 31105, 2007-2008 (with a restyled interior), an antenna, a radio tape recorder and a complete set of acoustics were installed regularly.
So, after buying the Volga in 2006, I had to install the antenna myself. When choosing, I immediately dismissed the external antenna due to the fact that for its installation it is necessary to drill the body. Of the internal antennas, I was looking for an antenna with the most confident reception, capable of catching a radio signal outside the city.
I heard about the Bosch antenna, but I could not find it in stores. There were no online stores in 2006. I bought what was available - the Buran antenna, from the Ural company. I don’t want to say anything bad about this antenna, but with my not expensive radio tape recorder “Mystery”, it caught radio stations only in the city, and even then, not all of them.
So I would have traveled further with this antenna, if not for the case of a fire. During the restoration of the Volga, the windshield had to be changed. Flexible self-adhesive waveguides (antenna whiskers) went to the scrap along with the old glass.
Recently rummaged through the Internet and found this Bosch antenna. It is called "Bosch Autofun PRO", article: 7 617 495 200/201. I bought it in the OZONE store, at a price of 1077 rubles. This is the lowest price I have found.
It is interesting that OZON is now offering me this antenna for 999 rubles, luring me to make a second purchase.
I will show the completeness of the antenna in the photos below. Finally, I will only say that I will install it in the spring, when it is warm. According to the instructions, the antenna should be installed at a temperature not lower than +18 degrees Celsius.
After installation, I will write a separate article, I will share my impressions about the quality of signal reception.
