Who does not know, "mudguard", this is a body part that separates the car's engine from the wheel, and forms the engine compartment.
So, the mudguard, as well as the wing, was in a very deplorable state. The flame from the burning tank of the "Gazelle" escaped towards my "Volga", and rose in the area of the wheel arch. The plastic fender liner burned out completely, and therefore the access of the flame to the inner side of the wing and the mudguard was open. Fortunately, this did not last long, firefighters arrived very quickly and the fire was extinguished. It is surprising that the gas tank of the Gazelle, located on the left, miraculously did not explode, and even more surprisingly, the gas cylinder on the right did not explode.
And now to the point. There are no photos showing what the mudguard looked like before machining, apparently I got carried away with the process, so I did not take them. Or maybe I was scared by the amount of work that I had to do. Therefore, I will first post a photo from the fur. stripping and a single treatment with a rust converter, and then with a triple treatment of the same rust converter and subsequent cleaning with a soft cord brush of acid residues.
That's all. See you.
