The last article about the repair of the Volga, which was written more than a year ago, concerned the repair of doors. In it, I showed how I repaired the doors on the left side. I mentioned in passing about the repair of the doors on the right side, in the last paragraph.
Today I will show you how I repaired, or more precisely, updated, the right side. The body after many years has remained in good condition, with the exception of the most vulnerable places - thresholds. Today's article will contain photographs that, without words, will clearly show what condition the body is in, and what I did additionally in order to extend its "life".
New readers will say, "Why are you even doing this?" I myself have asked myself this question many times and came to the conclusion - just for the sake of interest. This is my story, my family's story. Why live at all if you have no interests, just to stupidly "plow", earning a living?
Next to me, in a nearby garage, motorcyclists are stationed. They are all year round, every weekend, either riding through the forest, or repairing their motorcycles. And only because they are interested. Although they themselves have expensive cars that are repaired in the service. I also have something to ride, and carry a family, "Volga" is now for the soul.
Let's go back to the right side. Those places where there are interfaces of body parts turned out to be rusty. Everything else was pretty well covered with anticorrosive from the factory, and almost did not suffer from rust. If the left side had not been burned, it would have been in the same condition.
