In the last article, I described the process of restoring the windshield wiper panel. In the same article, it was said that on the site you can find detailed articles about how I cleaned metal from carbon deposits, priming, and painting. Therefore, I will not write much, but simply show photos, dwelling on some points.
Preparing the front fender for painting was described by me earlier, here in this article. Here I will start with priming. Unfortunately, I did not photograph the result of applying the acid primer.
Shown below is the result of HB BODY 634 primer-filler and HB BODY 950 anti-gravel.
I note that I applied anticorrosive (HB BODY 910) to the body, and not anti-gravel. And it would be more correct to do the same with the inner surface of the wing. It's all in a hurry. The wing was being repaired in August, and I wanted to complete all the restoration work before the cold weather. Therefore, I used the materials that were available without wasting time (and money) on buying new ones.
In September, I realized that I no longer had time to complete all the work, thought about it, and changed my views on restoring the car. I decided to restore (update) the car completely (already talked about this).
But the anti-gravel HB BODY 950 is also a good thing. He will serve for a long time. Moreover, fender liner is installed in the wheel arches.
Here is a photo of the wing already painted and installed in place.
First, the wing was fixed on the old bolts. Then I bought new ones and screwed them in.
That's all. In the next article I will show how I restored the doors.
Until next articles.
